Some days your to-do list seems to have a life of its own. It adds new tasks before you can cross off the old ones. And you? You are allowed a life of your own, too.
Not every difficult day calls for a revolution. Sometimes you need a few quiet minutes and permission to let one thing wait until tomorrow.
Start with what really needs doing today
Look at your list. Which task has a real deadline, and which are you carrying around simply because you feel you should? Choose one thing you can finish today. Write the others down so you do not have to keep them all in your head.
Rest does not have to be a reward for finishing everything.
A small ritual, without the ceremony
Put your phone down. Make tea, switch on a warm lamp or sit in your favourite spot for a moment. You do not have to listen to a course, plan your week or work on yourself at the same time. This moment can belong just to you.
You do not have to carry it all alone
If you can hand one task to someone else, do. If you need to talk, say so plainly. Your boundaries do not need to come beautifully wrapped.
One step is enough for today. Tomorrow you can decide on the next.
